A native son of Hawaii, Alfred Benjamin Kameeiamoku Rodrigues was on duty at Pearl Harbor the morning of December 7, 1941. From his early days as a young Navy sailor through his Pacific War days, he relates his eyewitness account of events during that Day of Infamy and shares the personal diary he kept during the War in the Pacific while serving onboard the battleship USS Washington as a Chief Petty Officer. After serving 24 years in the U.S. Navy, he is one of the few remaining Pearl Harbor Survivors and regularly volunteers his time at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center--sharing his eyewitness accounts with visitors.
