SEABEES AND SUPERFORTS AT WAR

This book tells the story of Tinian, an island in the Mariana Islands that the Japanese heavily built up before the Americans took it over. It focuses on how the U.S. Navy Seabees helped create important airfields there, allowing B-29 Superfortress bombers to carry out major strikes on Japan, which played a key part in the Allied win in the Pacific.
